Stick Houses.
The Samals’ and Badjaos’ traditional houses are always built over the
sea – they maintain these forms at the settlement – even though the
building are built over land.

Seaside Risks.
The gorgeous setting belies harsh living conditions.... a single storm
can do considerable damage here.

Main Street. One of the main avenues – the
settlement is 5 years old. Everything in this shot was crafted from
scrap lumber or woven form fronds harvested from the nearby trees (not
necessarily on the Badjao property).
